I have 04 alero and the service vehicle soon light, trac off, and abs are all on. I recently had to put on new tires due to one rear tire having a servere flat spot (?????) causing the car to shake. I would like to reset the these lights to see if it was the problem. I tried the disconnectting of the battery for 15 + mins. but that did not do it. Do they have to be reset from a computer code reader? Thanks.

I would try checking the brake fluid first. Low fluid will cause all of those lights to come on. If that doesn''t work, go to Autozone and get it scanned.

Given that you have an ABS light, however, Autozone may not find anything, as the scanner they use cannot read ABS codes. You may have to go to someone with a Tech II scanner or equivalent to find out what the code is. A dealer will have a Tech II, and some shops do as well.

Let us know what you find out.
