I would appreciate ANY help with unlocking my radio in my 1999 Silhouette. The battery went dead and now I can't unlock it. I bought the van used about 3 months ago and do not have the original code. THANK YOU! Kathy

I own a IntrigueGLS 2000--had to replace the battery and have the same problem. The radio is locked. I read the manual and there is a secret code you enter to disable the theftlock. However, Yark Olds in Toledo, Ohio, has it and never wrote it in my book or pasted it in a sticker in the door or ever even mentioned it. They want 75 bucks to reset the radio. There has to be an easy way of determining that code. Oldsmobile Corporation gave the same answer as the manual and that is, to call the dealer. What a rip-off. Have you gotten any replies or information as to disable the theftlock; could the secret code be the last 4 digits of the Vin? What do most dealerships use to set the secret code? What have you learned since posting on this forum? I cannot find any information.

i would call a dealership, and BLOW UP...its ridiculous that they want that much money for something that MIGHT take 2 minutes...call and ask for the general manager..and scream.
