Default Bankruptcy?

I sold some New Old Stock parts to a guy, who paid by check. Now he says he doesn't have the parts anymore but he can't afford to honor the check. I also found out he just bought an all original 1969 Hurst/Olds. I am concerned that he might declare bankruptcy before making good on the check. He has a business selling parts, his name is Ron Memmer. Does anyone know if he is in financial trouble? I gave him the option of returning the parts to be but he won't.

oldsfool: Did you resolve this issue with Ron? I am about to order an expensive part from him and would like to hear how your situation worked out.
Thank you,
Frank

No resolution and no payment for parts that he has told me via text that he already sold. He says he can't afford to honor the check he gave me because he has to pay the guy restoring a Hurst Olds he bought. But "he will eventually". (Not holding my breath).

4onfloor:
Thanks so much for the post and the information. I was going to buy a $1500 NOS front bumper from him. He never returned my call.
