it will turn, but not start

this is the 3rd time I had the exact problem (I've had others with the
car since I got it over a year ago). First time, it was the security
system. Second time, it was the fuel pump. Not sure what it is this
time, though I suspect it's a security problem. It can't be the battery
because the lights and windows work - besides I just replaced it late
last year.

In the meantime, since late last summer, I have had a continous problem
with the electrical system. Last time I took it in, it worked normally
when the dealership looked at it. Apparently, it only acts up randomly.
For example, when I start up, sometimes the guages and dashboard don't
work right away. Also, at random times during driving, the windows will
not work.

I am really stressed because I have already spend hundreds and hundreds
of dollars in this car and I cannot afford another major repair. Could
there be an easy solution?

Yeah that sounds like a security problem. It could be the ignition lock. After awhile your key will wear down and it will be loose in the ignition. This will cause the passlock system to cut the fuel to the car because the PCM thinks the car is being stolen.

If you see the security light flashing when you are trying to start it itsthe its probably the ignition. After you try to start it and it doesn't start leave the key in the ON position for 10 minutes then try to start it again. Should start right up.
