2003 Alero Clutch not engaging
 

My clutch failed to engage the other day when I pushed it to stop for a red light. I have found this part to be defective. Can this part be purchased by itself? I can"t find it listed any where. Ignor the black on it. I tried to glue it but it wouldn't hold

I can't even tell what it is from the picture. Where did it come from? Does it have any part numbers on it?

It has the number K615619 on it. It goes between the push rod and the clutch pedal. Not sure why they would use plastic. I believe its purpose is to hold the push rod that goes to the clutch master cyclinder in place. I added another pic to the orginal post but its not much better

Well I can't find anything with that number. I would take it to a dealership and see if you can buy just that part. Maybe hit up the junkyard and see if you can find it there.
Looks like you used some jb weld to try and fix it. How long did you let it dry before you tryed it? I think jb weld makes some stuff for plastic but I'm not sure. Your guess is as good as mine as to why they would use plastic parts for something like that.

Had to buy the rod with the plastic piece ($60 cdn). All is good now
