My wife's friend has a 2003 Alero with the 3.4L that was making noise. I checked it out and found three rocker arms loose. About a year ago, she had one rocker arm replaced. On one of the rocker arms, the push rod had went completely though it. I have never ever seen a rocker arm come loose before or have had a push rod go though one. Has this been a problem on other Aleros? Whats the cause?

Does anyone have the proper torque specs for the rocker arms? Thanks

Torque specs are 168 in-lbs then an additional 30 degrees. I have never seen a push rod go throughrocker before on an Alero or even heard of it till now.
