My 2003 alero won't turn over. I was driving it one day and it got hot and shut down completely and at once. My grandfather tells me that it was the head gaskets making it not start....but why wouodnt it start if the head gaskets were bad?

 

When the head gasket fails, it can fill the cylinder with coolant and cause engine not to crank.
