Blinkers and Flashers
 

Neither my blinkers or flashers work. They light up but do not blink or flash. Any help would be appreciated.

Almost certainly the flasher unit has gone bad, try another unit from the same model and if it works get a new one from your local auto parts store.

Where is the flasher unit located?

Normally under the dash near the steering column. Ask your auto parts people if you can't find it and give your business to the one that gives you the right answer!.

Actually the flasher on the Alero is built into the hazard light switch on the dash. There is a recall on certain VIN numbers requiring the dealer to install a new switch for free. Go to the NHTSA website and look it up to see if your VIN is covered.
Otherwise, it's not a hard swap if you are willing to take part of the dash apart. The dealer can do it in about 20 minutes.
