Default Dash peeling

The vinyl has been slowly peeling off my dash for a while now and is finally bad enough to start bugging me. It looks like the dash is a major pita to take off to recover, and that the dash is a textured plastic underneath. Would it look horrible if I just pulled/cut it all off exposing the plastic underneath?

It probably would look bad, but that's just my opinion. You can get a spray on upholstery glue at any auto parts place that actually works pretty well, although I don't know if it would stick to the dash material. This peeling is a fairly common problem, maybe someone else has found a better solution.

The material is way too warped to be glued back down. So how hard is it to pull the dash? It looks like I'd have to remove the passenger air bag.

Its a pain in the *** and probably not worth it to pull the dash out. The passanger side air bag is the least of the problems you would have to go through. You will have to cut the dash on the sides where the fuse panels are unless you want to unhook every wire running to the fuse panels.
