How many of you have had problems with the ABS sensor, wire or connector. From what I have been hearing it sounds like a lot of people are having the same problems. It almost sounds like something that should be a recall. I know the breaks go bake to a regular mode but you lose all ABSan trac control. Doesn't that change the whole safety features of that car?

Sometimes on cold mornings, or if we have a dusting of snow I can back out of my parking spot, and the Traction light comes on. I then drive and a few seconds later they all come one and beep rather annoyingly. I can get it to go away by restarting the car. That said, I didn't notice a lack of ABS on a really slick morning last year.

It is a common problem, severity varies from car to car.

ABS and traction control are not required safety features, so there will probably be no recall.

The wire/connector corrosion/wire breaking/bad sensor thing is very common.

I have been having the same problem and it has been from moisture inside the connection

If you are having problems first thing I would due is remove connectors clean with electrical cleaner after cleaner dry then put on new dielectrical grease and see if it helps maybe even put layer of electrical tape on connection to help water from getting in. Won't cost much and should be fairly easy to do. prevention is easier than major repairs most of the time and costs less in the long run
