Default Radio/cd player

Hello all,

I put a CD in my cd player the other day, started to make a funny noise , now it wont play the CD, eject the cd or do anything? Radio works fine.

Anyone have this problem? What do i do to get this cd out?

Thanks

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. The cd tray gets stuck somehow. I took mine apart to see if I could fix it with no luck. I ended up buying one from a guy on another forum. He had a buddy that worked for a GM dealer so he had a Tech 2 to unlock it so it would work in my car. You can get a radio off ebay for pretty cheap. The costly part is getting it unlocked at a dealer. 99-00 radios wont work in 01-04 cars and vise versa.

If you just put it in it will go into lock mode. The radio has to match the car vin or it wont work. Thats why the dealer has to reprogram it.

So it has to go back to the dealer for it to be reprogrammed? Not something we can do?
