Security lockout
 

My son gave me a link to how to install a 2.2 K resistor in the ignition circuit. I did this still will not start. More research tells me 2.2 may not be correct. Can I get this resistance without the car running? This car has no chip key so what does the resistor do? Also see post about doing this directly at the body control module. Does anybody have info on whether this works better? It's a 20 year old car I just want the security gone.
