Turns over revs high or dies and wont start
i was trying to clean the throttle body today and when i was taking it apart and moving some wires a what i believe is a vacuum line into the upper intake manifold snapped like plastic... which is what it proly is. now the car wont start, i turn it over and it dies or revs really high and then dies. i also think that i might have messed up the throttle cable somehow but im not sure which one it is! help please!!!

Can you get a picture of what you broke. I have broken the vacuum hose that runs to the PCV, it ran like ****. I would get the vacuum hose fixed and then see how it runs before you mess with the throttle cable.

Start then Dies
I think I may be fighting the same problem, kind of.
I have a 99 Alero with the V6 and I can turn the engine over and it starts for about 1-2 seconds then dies. I checked the fuel pressure and thats ok. But I don't really know what is going on, yet. Any Ideas? Ken |

passlock problem
As it turns out it is a passlock problem. I did the 10 minute/10 second procedure then it started. Driving later that day the dash flashed on and off and then after it was parked. We got the same thing. starts up then dies.
I tried the same thing to no avail. I disconnected the battery and waited a couple minutes and the car started. I may need to do the iflylow solution. Thanks, for the help Ken |
