I have a Metra ALOC608 4-Channel Line Output Converterand I am trying to hook up amps/subs to my stock radio so questions i have is, is there a better converter to use where i wont have to cut my speaker wires and after i hook it up, do i still need my REMOTE wire for my amp? and if so where do i hook it up at?

TY For any help....

You always need a remote turn on for any amplifier.. Without a remote wire connect on this converter your using (you tell me if it has one..) you can simply run a short line from where the power runs intoyour amp to where the remote wire inputis. This way, when your car turns on, power goes directly to the amp and it turns on as well. However the amps willalwaysbe on while the car is on at that point. Rather than, if the remote wire is connected to the head unit (like all are set up to be), then the amp(s) turn on/off with the radio itself.

If I may say, in my opinion, stock heads (unless it is of name brand quality) aren't worth adding aftermarket components and amplifiers to. Everything else though can easily be left with it's stock look, if that is your goal in this project..

Best of luck to you .
