Original Stereo Equipment

I realize this is somewhat of a weird thing to be looking for, but I thought this section of the forum might be a good one to raise the question.

What is the best way to go about trying to locate an original stereo (AM/FM Cassette) for my 89 Custom Cruiser? The one I have now currently does not play tapes, it doesn't 'eat' the tape, but the radio stays on when a tape is put in, and also my eject button doesn't work. All of which of course are signs pointing towards throwing the stereo in the trash and just getting a CD/Aux deck, but I have a lot of tapes that I like, and I like the way this old stereo looks sitting in there. I would feel funny looking at a big LCD screen on a CD player.

Is my best bet the junk yard, or does anyone have a lead on a possible site to check out for this sort of thing... or does anyone have a functional one laying around for a few bucks? Thanks for anything in advance.

Why not have the unit repaired? I am sure that is possible.
