1999 aurora
#1
I have a 99 Aurora with just over 97,000 miles on it and I love the car, but it saddens me when the service engine light comes on. I had it tested and it said that cylinder 3 has a misfire and the something is wrong with the torque converter. I just had the sparkplugs replaced, could anyone shed light on why there would be a problem with the torque converter, what it is and where it is located? Thanks

A PROBLEM WITH MISFIRE COULD POSSIBLE MEAN IGNITION COIL OR BAD SPARK PLUG WIRES. THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS TRANSMISSION RELATED, NOT TO SAY THE TRANSMISSION OR T0RQUE CONVERTER IS DEFECTIVE. CONCENTRATE ON MISFIRE FIRST THEN GO TO THE NEXT PROBLEM AFTER A RETEST BY A REPUTABLE MECHANIC. YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CAR ( ALM0ST A CADILLAC ) . WITH LOW MILES LIKE YOURS YOU SHOULD BE GOOD FOR MANY MANY MORE..GOOD LUCK..
