I have a problem with my headlights and my dash lights fading while Im driving. Im almost positive that its not an alternator issue. Any input?

I ahve had the same problem. Alternator has been replaced twice, and I still have the problem. I have been told that when the heat pump kicks in it requires a great deal of power, and the lights dim.

I have a 2001 Aurora and definitely do not have this problem, even when running stereo and AC. How much are the lights fading??

On a previous Ford product I had this problem due to a bad switch that would heat up and as resistance built it would dim my lights to next to nothing. I would pull over, turn off lights, things would cool down and then lights would work again. (I know, crazy...) but that's what it was.
