I sthere anybody that can help me with a tune-up parts list for Aurora Oldsmobile 2001 3.5L. I am trying to fix my wife care, and to buy the OEM GM parts. (spark plugs, Spark plugs wires, PCV, air filter, etc etc) I am trying to do a fulltune-up.Parts number if it is possible or where I should look to buy those parts!

THANK YOU!

Most of the tune up parts that Gm uses for this car are ACDelco parts. So you can check any parts store and asked for an ACDelcotuneup kit for this car. You can get the pieces seperate as well, just make sure that there ACDelco.

IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY GM PARTS,,, GO TO GM. IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY OTHER GO TO NAPA OR CARQUEST, G M DOES NOT MAKE PARTS, IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY AC PLUGS THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. DONT PAY GM PRICES. FOR THE PARTS YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT GO TO THE PARTS STORE NOT GM.

Has the car reached over 100,000 miles because that is the manufacturer's recomended time interval to do a tune up. Although you don't want to use any plugs other than GM - AC Delco. Car does not have any wires, just plugs. To do a full tune up you may need plugs, throttle bodycleaner and possibly a fuel filter (if you need to have that done). Hope this helps.

DOES NOT HAVE ANY WIRES?

No, no wires just plugs. I was told this by the dealer after they just did a tune up on another 01 Aurora 3.5.

HOW DOES THE SPARK GET FROM THE IGNITION TO THE PLUGS ?? TEACH ME SOMETHING.

There is something called a Coil pack, in which the spark plugs are screwed into and it contributes to transfering the spark. Sometimes the coil pack can be the reason for ruff idle, poor start ups, etc. If so it's kind of expensive but it is one whole unit.

Coil packs were my guess, but it was only a guess. I'm not up on these "newfangled" engines.

Isn't there one for every plug or every pair of plugs? Teach me, too!
