Dont change radiator, thermostast, waterpump, or waterpump tensioner! If engine is running over 220(HOT operating temp) just purge system! First Fill with coolant, close reservoir ,Start car, when temp hits 220 thermostast will be open,turn heater on, with pliers open small tension clamp of small coolinghose (aprox 10mm in diameter) right next to the thermostast, almost on top of thermostast housing SLOWLY! Dont pull hose out, SLOWLY pull hose and you will hear the pressure coming out, againDONT pull hose all the way, pull just enough until you hear pressure coming out. When you dont hear any pressure coming out, coolant will come out, THEN pull hose out and a STREAM of coolant with no bubbles will come out. Reconnect hose and no more temps problems. I Fixed my Aurora this way. Save your money, and time the Aurora is does not have a bleed valve for the cooling system, so you have to do it this way.Edited by: Onzatroy

 

Interesting my daughters friend had this exact problem. I did what you suggested and it worked, I bled the line, no over heating and now heat out the gazoo.Now what was wrong an air lock in hose? Never had a problem like this with an air cooled VW bus you never have heat. LOL namwv

 

I've never had heat out the gazoo. Is that curable with penicillin?[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]
