the volts doesn't drop or go up....engine off (12 volts)
engine running(idle) 14 volts.. i only see one ground cable from the chassis to the engine those cars requiremore ground?? or it is good like that? i've heard that those cars requires good ground...thanks in advance |
The ground should be fine. If it is over powering (volts) change the alternator

i took the alternator to advance auto part.....they tested and told me its working good.... battery is still on....and its charging good....dont know what to do...any other advice??

Read post #6. If it is overcharging, replace the alternator. The voltage regulator is incorporated with it.

its not overcharging......its tested and its not!!!!!
is trowing the correct amount of volts!!!! in advance auto parts ..they told me not to pay 150.00 dollars for an alternator because mine was working good...... |

check charge system
there is also a possibility of the ground under the engine bay fuse box. It is true that volt will throw the DIC for the check charge sytem, it is too high!! Also check the DIM fuse 10A under the back seat if it is blown. The generator will not give correct output if it can't comunicate with the computer!!! Igave the fuze box ground issue as alot have had that problem before. After that, put your display to the volts and reset it.
