Considering a 2001-2003 Aurora, would like feedback
Thinking of replacing my 1998 Cutlass and am considering an upgrade into a 2001-2003 Aurora. I've found a couple that meet my criteria with decent miles on them (under 100k), Black with Beige interior.
In researching the car, it seems there are mixed owner reviews. Some have nothing but praise with no problems or it's the complete opposite and it seems as though the car fell apart on them. Most of the positive reviews are from people who have owned the car since new. Also, the V8 fuel economy seems to be abysmal in real world driving (14 mpg avg.) whereas the EPA says 18/26. Plus, the two Auroras I am considering are way over Blue Book retail pricing, $8000. I would think something around $6000 max would be fair.
My question is, would I be making a huge mistake going for the Aurora over my Cutlass? My Cutlass is awesome, I'm just looking for the style and amenities that an Aurora would afford. I'm really not into putting a ton of money into this car for constant repairs...any advice?

Ask over there. They will be able to tell you what years and motors to stay away from. Good luck on the new car if you get it. I always like the body style of the 01s.
