1980 Cutlass Diesel
Hello - my father-in-law recently passed away. He left behind his 1980 Cutlass Diesel. He bought it new and took good care of it. For the last 20 years or so, he kept it in a storage garage. Is this car something we should sell or scrap? Let us know what you think - if we should sell, I'll re-post into the classified section.
We knocked on all the body panels - all seem solid. My father-in-law kept good maintenance records, we found most of them. It was last registered in the late '90s. We have the title. . https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...1b07dc9951.jpg Shipping order - LF9 (diesel engine), N67 (wheels), U14 (gage package), 7777 Cinnabar (paint) https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...9d28b67c47.jpg Rear view - excuse the dust https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...1a24f25113.jpg Right side - solid panels - left side similar https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...7e7d3c83c4.jpg Front grill https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...cdd91419ad.jpg Diesel engine - ready for an engine swap? https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...153f368ea7.jpg Interior https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/oldsmob...45ca6aafcb.jpg Gage package from factory - odometer shows 1416 - we assume 201416 based on service records |
Looks too good to scrap. Nice body & I love the interior. Too bad there's no A/C. I'd see if a garage can get it running for a reasonable cost. If they can't, put it up for sale. It'd be a great candidate for a 350 Oldsmobile gasoline engine swap!
