1995 Cutlass transmission
 

The transmission on my 1995 Cutlass Supreme is shot. I have a neighbor in the junk bus who thinks he has a transmission that will fit but asked me to find out if the box/attachment is rectangular or oval. This is meaningless to me, but maybe you understand. I picture some sort of "plug" connection. Does anyone know how the transmission attaches and what the connector shape is?
