Car will only go forward in drive. No reverse. Acts like it's in drive in full time. When in park, if you push the gas, it lurches forward a bit. Also, when in drive and you try to put shift selector to overdrive it acts like brakes and the car feels like it's about to drive. Any ideas? Thanks

 

At the easiest, the shift cable may need adjustment. At the worst, time for a new trans. How many miles on the car?
