I have a 98 Cutlass on which the right front coil spring broke (it's a northern car originally from Wisconsin). I searched on line and came across the Monroe Quick Strut 181672 at Rock Auto. When the part arrived, and I went to put it in, it would not fit. The part is about 4" longer than the original one I took out and I've been unable to get the lower part (2 bolts) attached to the hub. I called Monroe and they told me this was the correct part and it's overall length is about 22 7/8" (the one I took out is around 19"). Has anyone else experienced this? What have you done to make it fit? Thanks!
