1998 olds cutlass pcm relearn

hi,
I have a 1998 olds cutlass that I replaced the pcm in. do I have to relearn it even if I found a pcm with the same service & hardware tag numbers on it? will it hurt to start the car if I don't?

disconnect the battery =30 min- reconnect & make =SURE!! its a FULLY Charged Batt!! then =start it -all will be ok - allowing =all engine sensors are good!!
