title kind of explains it. i'm driving a 1983 cutlass as my daily drive (i'm 17 and drive about 5-10 minutes to school each day.) "inherited" it from my grandpa i guess you could say, he just gave it to me for my bday last april. it has 52000 miles, i've put on about 3500-4000 myself. anyways, it's been extremely well taken care of, garaged, etc. never driven hard. oil always changed. i understand it is carbureted, which is obviously outdated in comparison to fuel injection. i've taken it in to be serviced multiple times and they just tell me that there's nothing wrong with it and i should let it warm up more. i'll let it warm up for 10 minutes when it's 50 degrees out (which is NOTHING compared to what i've driven it in before) and it still stalls. it generally stalls after i switch in to drive from letting it warm up. it stalls after i sit at a stop light. any ideas? i have a decent knowledge of cars so don't be afraid to throw any lingo around, i might ask for an explination..

Increase the idle speed is the quick fix. I'd have a REAL Quadrajet guy look at it...not just "Joe Mechanic" at Pep Boys.

TCC Solenoid on the transmission would be my guess. I looked for a TSB on it, but I couldn't find one for you, sorry.
