Picked up a '94 with about 65000 clicks. Odds and end have been
done, altenator, new rad, etc. While driving it home, the temp gauge went way up past the 3/4 mark, light came on briefly, then settled down to just under the 3/4 mark. When ever I accelerated or forced the motor a bit, the needle would climb. Coast down a hill, the needle would drop. The coolant level and capacity check out fine. The fan goes on when (while parked) the gauge gets to about 60%. Anybody got an idea where to look first? Or is this typical of the cutlass? Many thanks for any advice. |
