Hello, I have a 1991 cutlass supreme with the 3 cluster digital dash. I was wondering if it is possible to mount a tach on the dash or some where of my car so that i am able to tell my rpms. How much would it cost to get one installed, or how hard would it be?

Another question, If i wanted to get the 6 cluster panel instaleld, instead of my 3 cluster, would it just be like a plug-and-play? Take the old one out and add the new one? or do i need to have other things installed to make all the gauges work?

I think this is what your talking about. I did this to my 88 cutlass supreme. It had the base cluster and I added the better one. You need totake out the wires in the harness and move them around. It's really simple to do once you learn how to get the wires out of the harness. Once you move all the wires you just plug it in the new cluster. Then you will need a coolant temp sender, an oil pressure sender, and you need to run a wire from the cluster to the ALDL connector under the dash to get the tach to work. You can find all the info here.

Hey man, now thats what im talking about! you nailed it on the nuts. What was the cost when all was said and done? Where did you get the new cluster from?

Is it possible just to add a seperate tach onto my dash or something?

yeah you can add a tach to the pillar if you want. i think this is the best way to go though. i found my cluster at a junkyard. the guy wanted 75 for it but i talked him down to 50. the coolant temp sender i got right away from the carthat had thecluster, but i could not get the oil pressure sender out from the top. So I ordered one from an auto parts place. So the cluster was 50, coolant temp sender was free, oil pressure was 25. it was well worth it though.
