coolant mixing with oil
 

aight so my 95 ciera cutlass has been over heating like crazy for the past few months. i've flushed it a few times but every time i flush the coolant when i go to check the new coolant it's oily. my friend said it could either be a blown head gasket, or oil cooler. anyone know what's goin on? :confused:

3.1L?
I would say its not the oil cooler because I don't think it has one. I would think blown head gasket or lower intake manifold gasket is bad.

yeah it's the 3.1L me and him are gonna do a compression test friday to see about the head gasket. and i guess we could just do a vacuum leak test for the intake manifold gasket?

Yeah I'm sure a vacuum test would let you know. If you look under the throttle body and power steering pump you can usually tell. Right where the lower intake manifold, the block, and the heads meet. Right there is usually where you can see it leaking.
