Cutlass Calais problems
 

Hello,
My father has a Cutlass Calais.He has been having alot of issues with it lately and he doesn't usually join forums so i'm posting for him.

The car had the same problem a couple months ago,it sputtered,started hard,ran rough and sometimes stalled.After weeks of trying to figure out the problem himself he took it to Canadian tire and they said his coil packs(ignition modules w.e u want to call it) were shot,so they replaced them with second hand ones(refurbished i would imagine).After running fine for a few weeks the car is once again having troubles and he is out of ideas,if anyone has any suggestions as to what might be going on let me know please.
PROBLEMS:Starts hard and takes long to start,sputtering at idle and under acceleration,stalls occasionally.
REPLACED: Coil packs/ignition modules/ignition pack(ran good for a few weeks)

I have the same issue with my 89 Calais 1.8 Quad 4. It keeps cracking the coil farthest from the ICM. Any ideas?
