Hey guys. I have a 1999 Oldsmobile cutlass and i am trying to figure out how to turn off my headlights at night when the auto-on lights are on. I just dont like lighting up my neighbors' houses at night when pulling into my driveway. So any suggestions for me on how to turn them off at night? thanks for any help!

 

On my 99 Silhouette: remove the panel at the base of the windshield, it just snaps off. This gives you access to the photodiode that turns the lights on. I forget what resistor I put in there, but if you measure the resistance across this diode when light hits it and put a resistor in the socket of about the same tolerance, you have manual headlights like most other cars on the road.
