My 1994 cutlass interior lights (including the dome) will not turn off. I've checked the door jam switches, and replaced the headlight switch. The power draw-down circiut kills the power after 10 minutes at which time the rear view mirror map lights will turn on and off. As soon as I use the headlight switch to turn on the interior lights theywill not turn off. Would like to hear if others have experienced this problem and found a solution.

 

Problem fixed! I disconnected the drivers side door handle switch (turns lights on when the door handle is lifted) and the lights worked as they should;dims to off after 16 seconds. The cool thing is that all the door switch impacted was lights on when the handle is lifted. IF I use the power locks the lights turn on and off. It was luck thatI checked the drivers side first and found the problem, but I guess because the drivers side gets the most wear that door switch failed first.[img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]
