Default engine swap

Would it be feasible to drop the engine/trans front assembly out of a 1996 cutlass supreme sl and put the whole thing in my 1990 cutlass international? They have the sime size engine put different styles. I have the complete donor car so I can change the computer or whatever else I need to do. Thanks for any advice on the matter!

It shouldn't be too difficult, if you're SURE that's what you want. The newer body is definitely more sporty, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

My Cutlass Internatioal is realy nice with the electronic dash and all the other goodies. The problem with it is the tranny has no 3rd gear and the engine won't idle right. The 96 cutlass is a four door and has no title. It's engine and tranny are very good. I noticed the 96 has more engine electronics than my 90. I guess I would have to change out the wiring harness and ccm. As far as swapping the entire engine carriage, with the front suspension etc, I have no idea if it would fit.

Why not just change out the tranny? It would make things alot easier... minimal work, you can have it done in just a cpl of hours.
