G-Body 455 Swap
#1
Hi all!
I have an 87 Cutlass Supreme w/ V6 and I'm putting an Olds 455 in it. I'm looking for motor mount advice. I've heard from some sources that I should use SB mounts, while from others I've heard that I should use BB mounts. What's the real deal?
Any and all help/advice on this swap would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure someone out there must have done it, and it'd be very nice to have someone to talk to about it.

You can use the frame mounts from a 307 and the block mounts for the same engine. All oldsmobile v8's 1964-1990 (except the 1964 394) have the same lower block dimensions and motor mount locations.
I had an 80 that orignally had a 260 in it. I swaped in an olds 350 and eventually a 455. All on the same mounts. I even used the orginal exhaust after the maifolds (yes it bolted to the 455).

use small block motormounts not big block. You will have some clearence issues with the hood with the bbo mounts
