I'm new to the site and I have a 80 olds cutlass supreme project car I'm working on putting in a olds 425 4 speed trans ford 9 inch but I'm having probes finding replacement body panels specifically quarter panels (driver and pass side) and a fiberglass hood with the w45 style scoops kc Whitney says they can order the quarters for $400 each plus freight and alot of comps offer the hood for the 81-88 cutlass' buy can't seem to find one for the 78-80 any help would be greatly appreciated

 

I haven't seen the hoods made for the 78-80 cars. It's kind of a "niche" because there are so few of them out there. The hood lines are way off from the later 81-88 so adapting a later hood just won't work.

As far as the quarters go, get them where you can. And be prepared to do body work....and lots of it unless you score some NOS replacements. Those Chinese parts are usually full of nice rolling waves.

 

Thats what I was afRaid of I guess I'll go w the us body source fg hood w a ford thunderbolt style teardrop scoop I know it's blasphemy but better than the same old boring cowl induct hood and it looks like I'm gonna be out $900 well thanks for the info

 

Try to find online car parts store. I'm sure there are lots of store where you can get exactly what you want. I think that's the best you can do since the parts that you want is rare. Can't direct you to one though. Good luck mate.
