Newbie needs steering wheel identified

Hi, everyone! I'm new here and need some help from you vintage Cutlass experts. I have a pictures of a steering wheel that has been modified, but I think it was originally from a Second or Third Gen Cutlass. I've found pictures of these steering wheels, but none have exactly the same horn pad. You can see where the emblem used to be (it says "VETTE" now), and from the shape I'm pretty sure it was from a Cutlass. But note the metal around the top, and the stitching doesn't go around the bottom. Anyway, I would appreciate it if someone could identify the exact year (and model if I am wrong) this came from.
Thanks!

It looks like a 76-77 cutlass steering wheel. My buddy has a 76 and looks almost identical.

Thanks, that sounds right. Now I need to find a black center piece (horn) because I used Krylon Fusion on it to touch it up and it just won't dry!
I tried leaving it out in the sun, using a hair dryer, and even spraying it with a clear coat, and it's still tacky. If I can replace it with one that's already black, I'll be in good shape.
Thanks again!

Chris
