Noise in my 94 cutl
 

I have a 94 Cutlass Supreme SL 3100 V6. There was a puddle that I had to cross (might be the cause) and when turn off there was a permanent noise like brrrrr coming from under the center of the engine. Disconnected the battery thinking it may run out but when connected again next day, the start was dead but the noise still there.
Any Clue?????
