i have a pontiac 400 and trans from a 69 firebird and i wanted to no if it would fit in my 1970 oldsmobile cutlass 4dr.and the firebird that i have also has a posi rear end and was wondering if i could take that to.

 

It could be done, but it will take a lot of parts to make it happen. You'll need frame mounts for a 69-72 Pontiac Le Mans/Tempest/GTO and preferably the wiring harnesses for the same. It would be much easier and probably cheaper to sell the poncho and get an Olds engine if you are wanting/needed to do a swap.

 

i have all the mounts from the firebird and wiring thats the reason im doing it because the firebird is to much fix..interior wise and other reasons..but not the point so it will bolt up with the frame mounts

 

The mounts are not the same from the F body to the A body. Neither is the wiring. If you had an A body Pontiac you'd be in good shape.
