Rear main seal
I was wondering if doing this job of swapping out the rear main seal is possible at home or would i have to take it in at a local shop?
Also, I got a blown head gasket too, how difficult would it be to fix that for a diy?? Thanks. PS. The vehicle is a 1982 Cutlass Supreme with a 231 V6 |
It sounds to me like you may want to dig a little deeper into that thing. If the rear main and a head gasket are blown there could be other issues on going or waiting to show their heads.

Sounds like the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

The funny thing is, i just got a swapped engine in it about half a year ago. I guess my dad must of gotten a not so great engine from the junkyard...bummer.
