ok, I saw the post byPuriefm. Looks like you figured out the window regulator replacement.

Can you give me some tips? We just purchased a 91 conv. and the right rear window only goes down 1/2 way (unless you force it)

did you find the window motor at the dealer or aftermarket supplier?

Thanks for any help....

The motor is easy to locate...

Steps: (with the window down)

1. Lower the top and remove the cross member cover

2. Remove the two screws (one is the cost hook) that hold the quater moulding

3. Carefully remove the moulding and disconnect all wires.

4. Drill out the regulator rivets with a 1/4" drill

5. Remove the plastic grill at the door frame base.

6. See the track inside...

Very important...Stuffa rag in the whole inside the door (in case you drop a screw). Also stuff a rag under the window track to keep the window from moving down and out of the vertical window track (there is a plastic window guide that can be damaged (discontinued and $14) if the guide is forced up the track during removal or installation...my mistake...don't repeat it!!!

7. Carefully slide the regulator from the track

8. Drill out the motor rivets

9. When you order the motor get rivets for the motor and regulator assembly

10. The motor rivets canbe installed with a ballpeen hammer

11. Use the grill opening so you can see when you have aligned the regulator wheel with the window track and push/rotate theregulator assembly forward into the track.

***Be patient this a very doable job by the average home mechanic**

The regulator rivets require a special rivet tool. See if your local body shop will let you pull the rivets at their location (takes 5 minutes).

I installed two 1/4" screws in two of the rivets holes that allow access to keep the regulator in place temporarily (until I located a rivet tool).

Hope my experience is some help to you.
