short or long headers

For the past two years I have been working on my 1969 Cutlass Supreme. I will be graduating HS this year and am putting the final touches on my car. I need your opinion on the type of headers.(Brand,Cereramix,painted,short,long,etc.) The motor in it now is the 350 Rocket it has an eldebrock intake, pro comp cam, 750 holley carb, and was all recently tore down and replaced with new parts.
I have had many people tell me different things so I figured I would leave it up to the guys on Olds Forum. And yes I'm young and about HP but $ is always an issue.
Thanks for your help

Long tube headers usually make more power, and shoot the sound trough to the tips better.. (Learned this on LX Forums) Really smart guys.

My dad is putting JBA Short-tube headers on his Chrysler 300C Hemi but ONLY because he has the AWD version, unfortunately Long-tube headers only fit the Rwd`s...
I am 17 and am putting $20,000 down on a Shelby GT500 next year (Waiting for the 2013 with a 5.8L 640hp engine...
But as for now, Bought my first Alero GX sports coupe. and put alot of money into it mod and accessory wise.
Hope this helps,
You from Ontario ?
