1962 Dynamic 88 Convertibles

1962 Dynamic 88 Convertibles I know that 12,212 Dynamic 88 convertible cars were built in 19 and 62. I am fortunate enough to own one of them!

What I am trying to get a handle on is how many of the original 12,212 are still around today?

If you have one, do stand up and be counted. The following info will be of help and interest (info on mine is given) -

Plant Manufactured: Lansing
Selling Dealer State: Illinois
Original Purchaser State: Indiana
Current Location: Wisconsin
Carb: 2 bbl
Color: Ebony (Black)
Interior: Gray & White
Odometer Current: 35,584 (Actual)

A convertible, a Starfire. :)

I read somewhere that it is one of 107 left. I can't wait to hear the motor run...

Well, I hope you do get it running, but even when you do, it won't be a Dynamic 88! As for it being only 1 of 107, I would be suspect. I seem to see them everywhere; not quite a dime a dozen, but maybe twenty-five cents a dozen?

Dave,
What an excellent website! One request: the link is broken for the TEL additive.

You are a lucky man to have such a pristine example. Mine needs work everywhere...

Thanks for the kind words on my site and my ride. If you are into old rides other than Olds, you may want to also check out my Cadillac site -

I also publish a monthly newsletter covering all aspects of the car collector hobby. It is free, monthly, online only and has no ads. It is named Car Collector Chronicles. You will find it online at - http://www.scribd.com/people/view/7936333-dave If you want to be on the mailing list for the newsletter, send me a PM with your email address, and I will gladly add you.

Now to your question re the TEL link. My understanding is the firm went belly up a while back. They were out of business for a few years. Then I read that they began production again. Whether or not they are still in operation, I do not know? (Situations like this I why I bought 3 cases at once!) Try googling the product to see what you find. If you do come up with an active link, let me know.

62 Dynamic 88 Conv.

Dave, I see you have the same 88 as I do. Could you direct me to a parts supplier for my turn signal switch and cancel-cam set-up. My lever just hangs there and I would like to repair. Also, I can`t get my top to fold down fully. It has been newly replaced by some body else. I just had the tranny completely redone so I can make it to the Olds show next year. Oh, yes, I am in Hillsdale, Mi.
