94 88 Royale short
 

1994 88 it started as a small short somewhere in the vehicle that would cause the car to shut off and display the engine hot a/c disabled notice. That was tracked down to a faulty ground on the window switch. A couple weeks ago the battery light came on and the dash lights dimmed for a moment before coming back fine. Had alternator tested the next morning and it was ok. 2 days ago it dimmed again and didn't stop. Pulled the alternator off and found the battery wire partially fused to the alternator. I replaced it replaced and heat wrapped the wire it worked fine for about 10 minutes before doing the same thing, any ideas on the cause?
