i have a nice low mileage `89 delta with the pre-series 1 3800 and automatic. i know some of the late 80''s and early 90''s grand prix and cutlasses did come with manual transmissions. i am very skilled in metal fabrication and wiring, but is a swap from auto to manual on this engine possible? i havent had any luck finding info on clutch diameters and bell housing patterns to get me started. im concerned about my stock auto trans holding up to the future plans on this motor, starting with the M62 supercharger from the park avenue ultra (its basically a bolt in as far as the heads and block are concerned). anyone that has trans experience on these models would make me pretty happy to leave a note on here with some advice. if it was a water-cooled vw, i wouldnt hafta ask, but this is my first gm vehicle!
