Mist Lever for Window
 

Hello all this is my first post to this forum.

I inherited a 1984 Delta 88 from my uncles last fall.
The mist lever that activates window washer is broken. The plastic lever just spins around on the turn signal arm Screenshot by Lightshot .
Does anyone have a good fix for this?

It would probably be easiest to just replace the entire lever. I've replaced a couple of those levers on different Oldsmobile vehicles I've had through the years and it's not too bad to get to them.

Go to a junk yard and get a replacement lever and then just change it out. One tool you might need that you possibly don't have is a steering wheel puller. They aren't that expensive so you could probably buy one outright. Otherwise, check with your local auto parts stores and see if one of them might rent you one.

Alternatively, you could always jury-rig it by finding the wires that activate the pump from the lever and installing a simple push-button somewhere else. I don't know your situation, but I know that I personally would much rather have it be done the right way by replacing the lever itself.
