Aluminum Intake

I'm putting an aluminum Edelbrock Torquer intake on my 455, typically in these scenarios I don't use the tin valley style gaskets b/c they don't seal very well, anyone have any thoughts on a better solution? Or even what you typically do for these installs?

I use Mr. Gasket aftermarket gaskets set and have never had a problem so far. Let me know what you think!!

Hence on olds blocks and heads i was told otherwise.Something about the deck and head angle. Useing the thicker gasket causes a issue i think. Technical Information Line: 931-459-2760

I don't get the constant references to Mondello. Many people use the gaskets instead of the valley pan. No issues.
Some guys even cut the ports off of the pan and use it as a splash guard.
