on a quick search of the web didn't come up with anything. i'm not trying to
turn this into a monster engine, infact i'd like the compression up'd for fuel
economy . i am opening the block to put in freeze plugs and re-ring while
i'm there if there are pistons available to increase compression. otherwise
by calculation i'd have to shave of 0.100 combined of the decks and head to
get into the 9.0:1

Welcome from across the Pond! I lived in Thetford and Oxfordshire for 6 years while in the US Air Force.

Check out http://performanceolds307.tripod.com/index.html. Lotsa good tips and tricks there. Also, do a search of 307 performance threads at www.oldspower.com.

Unless you like looking at farming country, you aren't missing much by missing Thetford. I'd really like to see more of Scotland.
