my cars smoking when i give it gas
well im new to the cutty game..........everytime i give it gas it smokes even throght the valve covers......i was thinking about doing a full tune up before i go into the head....i just got the car

More info on car/engine would help, but right off I'd say you have blow by in one or more cylinders, and a tune ain't gonna help.

i just bought the car a few weeks ago i was told by the previous owner it was a 350 but from what it look like to me its an 307 or 305.......when i drove the car home it was smoking a little bit when i accelerate and few days later it smokes even more and smokes out the valve cover and pipe i look at the spark plug its very black with a tip of oil i was thinking should i just pull the valve cover off and just take look but some people say just give it a tune up but i dont think its cause that

Sounds like it needs new piston rings.

thats what i was thinking.....well im gone start pulling the motor apart tommorow
