455 timing question
 

I have a 72 455 and have recently purchased a mallory distibutor, looking at the diagrams of the # 1 position on some some drawings it does not show the relationship of the # 1 post to the vacuum advance position... So I put the engine at TDC and looking from the front of the motor I positioned the vacuum advance to the right with room for adjustment and put the # 1 post per the diagram in the book. anybody see any issues with this?
